述曰：破僧佉等計也。量云：所計之我，應無作、受；蘊不攝故；如虛空等。文中但有宗及同喻，因如所標，故略不敘。

The Commentary states: This refutes the doctrine of the Sāṃkhyas and others. The formal inference is: The posited self should lack agency and experiencership; because it is not subsumed under the aggregates; like empty space and so on. In the text, there are only the thesis (pratijñā) and the positive example (sādharmya-dṛṣṭānta); the reason (hetu) is as stated [in the thesis's reasoning], so it is omitted from the exposition.
