述曰：為五段中，自下第三外道、小乘別問、別破所取非有。於中有二：初是外道別問、別破；第二小乘別問、別破。就初外道別問、破中，初問，次破。此即問也。

The Commentary states: Among the five sections, from here below is the third, where the non-Buddhists and the Hīnayāna separately question and [the treatise] separately refutes the non-existence of what is apprehended. Within this there are two: first is the separate questioning and separate refutation of the non-Buddhists; second is the separate questioning and separate refutation of the Hīnayāna. In the first separate questioning and refutation of the non-Buddhists, first is the question, next is the refutation. This is the question.
