述曰：即以地等例於青等，眼見為因，返覆為量，然不可言地非地攝，違自宗故。應言汝所執地，非有質礙實地所攝，非如所執實有自性，實句所攝，故不違宗。彼眼亦見十一種德，除觸取色，為量可知。

The Commentary states: That is, using earth and so forth as an analogy for blue and so forth, taking being seen by the eye as the reason, turning them back and forth into inferences. However, one must not say that earth is not subsumed under earth, which would contradict one's own thesis. One should say: The earth you hold is not subsumed under real earth that has physical obstruction, and does not have real self-nature as held, subsumed under the category of substance; hence it does not contradict our own thesis. Their eye also sees eleven kinds of qualities: excluding touch and taking color, the inference can be known.
