述曰：一故一切法同體，異故諸法體不同，如杌似人牛，說為人牛，是假，非實，而義說故。此中量云：汝一、異應假，非實；二相違法一處說故；如似人牛。

The Commentary states: Because of oneness, all phenomena share an identical substance; because of difference, the substances of all phenomena are not identical. Just as a post resembling a man or a cow is said to be a man or a cow—which is metaphorical (prajñapti), not real, yet spoken of conventionally—here the syllogism runs: "Your oneness and difference should be metaphorical, not real; because two mutually contradictory phenomena are spoken of in one locus; like what resembles a man or a cow."
