述曰：謂若言非一，同前異過；若言非異，同前一過也。彼若復言：不須別言若非一，同前異破；別言若非異，同前一破。應一時言：非一、非異。

The Commentary states: This means that if one says "not one," it shares the earlier fault of difference; if one says "not different," it shares the earlier fault of oneness. If they should further say: "There is no need to say separately that if it is 'not one,' it is refuted by the earlier fault of difference, and if it is 'not different,' it is refuted by the earlier fault of oneness; rather, one should say both at the same time: 'neither one nor different.'"
