述曰：下顯得果。「勝」謂殊勝，「果」謂果利，即順益於因。三劫修因，所得順益故。二乘二果非極圓滿，果而非勝；十地二法非已圓滿，勝而非果。究竟二果過出於彼，立「勝果」名。斷二種障，為得此果。問：雖言斷障得二勝果，而未分別斷彼二障得二果時，為總，為別，故應分別。

The Commentary states: Below reveals the attainment of the fruits. 'Supreme' means extraordinary; 'fruit' means the fruit and benefit, that which conforms to and benefits the cause. Cultivating causes for three kalpas, one attains this conforming benefit. The two fruits of the two vehicles are not utterly complete; they are fruits, but not supreme. The two dharmas of the ten bhūmis are not yet fully completed; they are supreme, but not fruits. The two ultimate fruits surpass them; hence the name 'supreme fruits' is established. The two kinds of obstacles are severed in order to attain these fruits. Question: Although it is said that severing the obstacles attains the two supreme fruits, it has not yet distinguished whether the attainment of the two fruits when severing those two obstacles is general or separate; therefore, a distinction should be made.
