述曰：第二，五位分別門。加行唯有漏，餘二無漏，故諸位別。此依頓悟及三乘各自初二位說。若迴心者皆通初二位，此文可解，不煩廣解。

The Commentary states: Second, the section distinguishing the five stages. Preparatory [wisdom] is exclusively tainted, while the other two are untainted; thus the stages differ. This is stated according to sudden awakening and according to the respective initial two stages of the three vehicles. If it is those who turn their minds [toward Mahāyāna], they both extend through the initial two stages. This text is easily understood and need not be explained in detail.
