述曰：第四、釋二道別，解脫道所治與小乘不同。小乘難曰：我無間道猶有惑得，可起解脫道與得相違，今汝無間道已無惑種，何用復起解脫道為？用之何作？

The Commentary states: Fourth: explaining the distinction between the two paths; what is remedied by the path of liberation is not the same as in the Hīnayāna. The Hīnayāna objects: 'In our uninterrupted path there is still the possession of afflictions, so it is appropriate to arise the path of liberation contrary to that possession; now in your uninterrupted path there are already no affliction seeds, so what need is there to arise the path of liberation again? What function does it perform?'
