述曰：顯異生障攝法不盡，以是根本不說業等。「等」者，等取惡趣非業及非異熟，及等餘增上果等法，及人天趣中分別所起業，及果故，直言惡趣攝不盡故。能起之中但說煩惱，以所知障與之俱，故總名煩惱。

The Commentary states: This shows that the obstacle of ordinary-personhood does not subsume all dharmas; because it is the root, karma and so forth are not mentioned. 'And so forth' includes non-karma and non-ripening belonging to the miserable destinies, as well as remaining sovereign results and other dharmas, and karma and results arisen from discrimination in the human and celestial destinies; therefore, merely stating 'miserable destinies' does not subsume them all. Among what can produce them, only affliction is mentioned, and because the cognitive obstacle accompanies it, it is collectively named affliction.
