The Commentary states: Bodhi is not what is indicated by the verse's intention; what is indicated by the verse's intention is as a later verse says: the body of ease and liberation, because the Great Muni is called Dharma. "Muni" has the meaning of silence, because of silencing and quieting all defilements; it is not that bodhi is the nature of consciousness-only, because in the Great Muni it is called the Dharma-body. Fascicle seventy-eight states that the two vehicles possess this and it is called the body of liberation (vimukti-kāya), hence it is said that the three vehicles are equal and identical. That bodhi is also called transformation of the basis according to the first master will be explained naturally in a later verse.
