The Commentary states: The Daśabhūmika refers to it as the 'obstacle of the conceit of self in body-attainment'; Vasubandhu's Mahāyānasaṃgraha has the same name as this. In the preceding bhūmi, based on the contemplation of the limbs of awakening, one contemplates the body, feelings, and so forth, as well as the untainted path, and so on; due to the cognitive obstacle, wholesome citta and so on give rise to aversion and joy. The tathatā of this bhūmi is called 'undifferentiated'; therefore, the path that takes it as an object is called 'undifferentiated'. Since saṃsāra and nirvāṇa are already undifferentiated, how could there be aversion, and moreover, joy? The remainder of the text is readily understood.
