述曰：《十地》云「細相習障」，世親同此，由前六地作緣起觀，流轉還滅尚有生滅微細相故，故名為障。此地真如名種種無別真如，故此道名「妙無相道」，此細相為障。

The Commentary states: The Daśabhūmika calls it the 'obstacle of subtle mark impregnations', and Vasubandhu agrees with this. Because in the preceding sixth bhūmi one engaged in the contemplation of conditioned origination, transmigration and cessation still possessed subtle marks of arising and ceasing; hence it is designated an obstacle. The tathatā of this bhūmi is called the 'tathatā of various non-differentiations'; thus this path is called the 'marvelous markless path', and these subtle marks are an obstacle to it.
