解十障中，上來第一已依《解深密》等釋十一地障，會十障訖，自下第二以十一障即彼二障，文勢有三：一、總明現種伏斷位次；二、明斷頓漸；三、釋四道差別。

In explaining the ten obstructions: above, the first part, relying on the Saṃdhinirmocana[-sūtra] and other texts, has already explained the obstructions of the eleven grounds and reconciled them with the ten obstructions. Below, the second part shows that the eleven obstructions are precisely those two obstructions. The structure of the text has three sections: first, a general explanation of the stages of subduing and severing their active manifestations and seeds; second, an explanation of sudden versus gradual severing; and third, an exposition of the distinctions among the four paths.
