述曰：第七識者，八地猶行，以法空智及果方違法執第七，生空智及果行相並麁，不相違故。

[The Commentary states:] As for the seventh consciousness, it still operates on the eighth ground, because only the wisdom of the emptiness of dharmas and its fruit oppose the seventh [consciousness's] attachment to dharmas; the wisdom of the emptiness of persons and its fruit have coarse cognitive modes and do not conflict with it.
