述曰：此中初說唯無分別智能斷二障隨眠，後得不然。設作無相觀，相分境相仍有故不能斷，唯無分別智有此斷能。諸經論中無說後得能斷隨眠，非諸菩薩見、修二道前斷所知用無分別，後斷煩惱用後得智故。

The Commentary states: Here, the first [opinion] says that only non-conceptual wisdom can sever the anuśayas of the two hindrances, while the subsequently attained is not so. Even if one cultivates a signless contemplation, because the objective marks of the nimittabhāga still exist, it cannot sever them; only non-conceptual wisdom possesses this power of severing. In none of the sūtras or treatises is it said that subsequently attained [wisdom] can sever anuśayas; it is not the case that for the bodhisattvas in the two paths of seeing and cultivation, the prior severing of the cognizable uses non-conceptual wisdom while the subsequent severing of the afflictions uses subsequently attained wisdom.
