述曰：此答。由惠簡擇縛斷得滅，名擇滅故，由所知障不縛有情招生死苦故，斷彼已不得擇滅。

The Commentary states: This is the answer. Because cessation attained through the severance of bonds by wise deliberation is called cessation through deliberation, and because cognitive hindrances do not bind sentient beings so as to produce the suffering of saṃsāra, having severed them, one does not attain cessation through deliberation.
