述曰：下此師答。初却質，以煩惱障亦障菩提，少分智故名障菩提。又為有此，菩提不起，故亦為障。何得以所知為難？文意可解。若爾，如何諸聖教說二障障別？

The Commentary states: Below is this master's answer. First, he challenges back: because the afflictive obstacle also obstructs bodhi—since it is a partial wisdom—it is called an obstacle to bodhi. Furthermore, because when this [afflictive obstacle] exists, bodhi does not arise, it is also an obstacle. Why take the knowable as a counter-objection? The purport of the text can be understood. If so, how do the holy teachings describe a distinction between the obstacles of the two types of obstacles?
