述曰：第三，以體攝用。故《佛地論》第三卷初，具明功德相攝，故此四智總攝佛地一切有為功德皆盡。智為主故，說智用增，諸餘功德智差別故。

The Commentary states: Third, subsuming functions under the essence. Therefore, at the beginning of the third fascicle of the Buddhabhūmi-śāstra, it fully clarifies the mutual subsumption of virtues; hence these four wisdoms entirely subsume all conditioned virtues of the Buddha-ground without remainder. Because wisdom is primary, it is said that the function of wisdom is predominant; the other various virtues are distinctions within wisdom.
