述曰：此論主答。許不並起於理無違，前後剎那別異起故。然行迅速，似二用俱。第二解：同一識體義用分二，說二智俱，亦無有失，如一意識見色、聞聲，一體義分，此亦應爾。此第一解，成事智品與第六俱。

The Commentary states: Here the treatise master answers: Admitting that they do not arise simultaneously does not contradict reason, because they arise distinctly in preceding and succeeding moments; however, their activity is so rapid that they appear as two functions operating together. In the second explanation: differentiated into two in terms of function within a single consciousness-essence, stating that the two wisdoms occur together also entails no fault, just as a single mental consciousness sees forms and hears sounds, its functions differentiated within one essence; here too it should be like that. This is the first explanation, that the category of duty-fulfilling wisdom is concomitant with the sixth consciousness.
