The Commentary states: Fifth, the section distinguishing the lands on which the three bodies depend. As stated in the Cheng weishi lun shuyao, the dharmakāya is also called the svabhāvakāya. As for the 'dharmatā-land': it pertains to the Buddha and the Dharma, because aspect and nature are different. For the meaning of 'Buddha' is the aspect, meaning that it is the support of the dharmas of conditioned meritorious qualities, has the meaning of an assemblage of numerous virtues, and is the essential substance of the [other] two bodies. 'Dharma' is the meaning of the nature, because it is the self-nature of meritorious qualities, can uphold its own nature, and is the self-nature of all dharmas. The 'substance' has the meaning of the land and is the body.
