述曰：此述正義，文相易知。言「因心」者，簡脣、口等，此時雖動，然非語業，非因心故，心本不欲發於此故。「識變」者，簡經部；「似聲」者，簡薩婆多等；「生滅相續」，簡聲論者，彼計常故；「似有表示」，簡一切宗，彼皆實表故。

The Commentary states: This sets forth the correct doctrine; the phrasing of the text is easy to understand. The words 'because of the mind' distinguish lips, mouth, and so on; although they move at this time, they are not vocal karma because they are not caused by the mind, since the mind originally had no desire to produce this. 'Transformed by consciousness' distinguishes [our view] from the Sautrāntikas; 'resembling sound' distinguishes it from the Sarvāstivādins and others; 'continuity of arising and ceasing' distinguishes it from the Śabdavādins, who posit [sound as] eternal; 'resembling having expression' distinguishes it from all other schools, who all maintain real expression.
