述曰：以教理難也，先皆總非；次方申難。此總非也。經說成、不成，不別說言異色等有，故非成證。

The Commentary states: This challenges them with scripture and reason; first comes a general denial, then the specific challenge is set forth. This is the general denial. The sūtras speak of accomplishment and non-accomplishment, but do not specifically say that they exist distinctly from form and so forth; therefore, it does not constitute proof.
