The Commentary states: Why is it that regarding the treasures, accomplishment is spoken of metaphorically without a real acquisition, whereas when ordinary worldlings accomplish wholesome and unwholesome dharmas, you say there is real acquisition? The formal inference states: In your school, the seven treasures should be acquired through real acquisition; because the sūtra contains the word "accomplishment"; just like wholesome and unwholesome dharmas. Your wholesome and unwholesome dharmas should lack acquisition through real acquisition; because the sūtra contains the word "accomplishment"; just like the seven treasures and so forth. Another formal inference states: Wholesome, unwholesome, and other dharmas should be called "accomplished" because of mastery; because the sūtra contains the word "accomplishment"; just like the seven treasures and so forth. This is argued according to the other party's position.
