述曰：此敘理也，如日輪舉照柱等時，東處承光，西邊發影，故言各現。
The Commentary states: This sets forth the reasoning: when the solar disc rises and illuminates a pillar or the like, the eastern part catches the light and the western side casts a shadow; therefore it says 'appear separately'.
