述曰：諸有為相，應無用故，有俱生因及前後得故。此中所說大小二生更何所用？汝宗有情數法二生應無用；許有能得故；如無為法。

The Commentary states: The characteristics of conditioned phenomena would be useless, because there are co-nascent causes and prior and posterior prāptis. What use would the two arisings—the major and minor arisings spoken of here—serve any longer? In your school, the two arisings of phenomena belonging to sentient beings should be useless; because you accept that there is prāpti capable of [producing them]; like unconditioned phenomena.
