述曰：由是增上厭心種子，餘麁動心等，於後念以去，暫不現行。依此一期無心分位假立二定，此二定種無想有漏，滅盡無漏。此說因位初入滅定，非久串習，故說滅心定前厭患種為定體。

The Commentary states: Because of this superior bīja of revulsion toward the mind, the other coarse and active minds and so forth temporarily do not actively arise from the next moment onward. Based on this single period of the mindless state, the two absorptions are nominally established. The bījas of these two absorptions are: the non-conceptual is defiled, and the cessation is undefiled. This is spoken with respect to first entering the attainment of cessation in the causal stage, before long practice, and therefore the bīja of revulsion prior to the absorption that extinguishes mind is said to be the substance of the absorption.
