述曰：第五、立一期。此中四表，但約剎那，然一期生十時分位，亦得假立。一剎那立同薩婆多，一期等立同正量部，合二立者同經部師。

The Commentary states: Fifth, establishing [marks across] a single life-period. The four expressions here are only in terms of a moment (kṣaṇa); however, across the states of the ten stages of a single life-period, they may also be provisionally established. Establishing them in a single moment is the same as the Sarvāstivādins; establishing them across a single life-period and the like is the same as the Saṃmatīyas; combining the two to establish them is the same as the Sautrāntika masters.
