述曰：自下第二、明所成有對不成，之中有二：一、問；二、答。此問也，小乘問曰：「若無能成實極微故，無所成有對色。汝大乘五識，豈無所依、所緣之色？」

The Commentary states: From here downward is the second part, explaining that constituted obstructive matter is unestablished, within which there are two: first, a question; second, an answer. This is the question: the Hīnayānist asks, 'If, because there are no real constitutive atoms, there is no constituted obstructive matter, then do your Mahāyāna five consciousnesses lack matter as their support (āśraya) and intentional object (ālambana)?'
