述曰：一切世間皆共知有，更不須待比量成立。問：此中緣瓶等心是何量攝？答：非量收。不親緣得法自體故；非比度故，非量所收，非量不要，唯堅執故。

The Commentary states: All the world universally knows they exist; they do not need to wait for inference (anumāna) to be established. Question: Under what means of valid cognition (pramāṇa) is the cognition taking pots and so forth as objects subsumed? Answer: It is subsumed under non-valid cognition (apramāṇa). Because it does not directly apprehend the intrinsic entity (svabhāva) of the dharma, and because it is not inferential deduction, it is not subsumed under valid cognition. Non-valid cognition is not an essential [means of knowledge], being merely a rigid conceptual grasping.
