述曰：彼言虛空不與法合，破云：虛空應不能容受；不與法合故；如餘二無為。今言合者，謂容受義，故初標宗，虛空容受色等法故。本計容受，今設不容受，故有此過，更非餘意。

The Commentary states: They say that space does not conjoin with dharmas; we refute this: Space should be unable to accommodate; because it does not conjoin with dharmas; like the other two unconditioned dharmas. What is here called "conjoining" means accommodating; therefore the thesis was stated initially as: because space accommodates dharmas such as form. Their original assertion was accommodation; now, hypothetically supposing non-accommodation, this flaw follows; there is no other intent.
