The Commentary states: When one departs from desire for the third dhyāna, one attains the cessation of all feelings of suffering and pleasure, and this very tathatā is called unshakeability. Up to: when one departs from desire for the sphere of nothingness, perception and feeling do not operate, and this very tathatā is called the cessation of perception and feeling. This is explained in the second fascicle of the Abhidharma-samuccaya-bhāṣya, the fifty-third fascicle of the Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra, and the first and eighteenth fascicles of Prakaraṇāryavācā. However, Prakaraṇāryavācā also states that the unconditioned of suffering and pleasure, etc., is temporary disjunction. Here, unconditioned phenomena are explained under two natures; below, under the three natures, they are explained comprehensively by combining the imagined nature, existence, and non-existence.
