Language
Classical Chinese

2.573

The Commentary states: Due to this principle, one should only dispel the objects external to the mind as being non-existent like a rabbit's horns, while the mind capable of taking them as an object exists like an illusion, so they are distinct and not identical. It is not meant that the mind itself is termed really existent. The syllogism is: The real consciousness-only grasped by the grasping mind is not real in its essence; because it is an object grasped by attachment; like the grasped forms and so on. The mind and so on that grasp at a real consciousness-only are also attachment to dharmas; because they grasp at a really existent dharma; like the mind that grasps at forms and so on.
