述曰：顯執所在，強思計度，間斷非恒，唯第六有，故非餘識。下二障中，五識所知障亦初地斷，以無分別、籌度惠性，不能起執，故此中無。

The Commentary states: This reveals where the clinging resides. Because it involves forceful thinking and deliberative discrimination, is interrupted, and is not constant, it is present only in the sixth [consciousness], and therefore not in the other consciousnesses. Below, under the two hindrances, the cognitive hindrance of the five consciousnesses is also severed at the first ground (bhūmi); because their nature is devoid of discrimination and deliberative wisdom, they cannot give rise to clinging, and therefore it is not present in them here.
