述曰：此下大文第四、別徵總結，於中有三：初牒前所非；次申別破上座等計；後重總結引經證成。此結牒上所非破，外道、小乘離識我法，皆非實有，以無體故，如前理徵。

The Commentary states: From here below is the fourth major section, individual critique and general conclusion, which contains three parts: first, restating what was previously rejected; next, setting forth an individual refutation of the theories of the Theravādins (Sthaviravādins) and others; and finally, reiterating the general conclusion and citing sūtras to establish it. This concludes by restating the refutation above: the self and phenomena of non-Buddhists and the Hīnayāna, being separate from consciousness, are all not really existent, because they lack real substance, as investigated by reason above.
