述曰：如經頌者，《厚嚴經》頌，是大乘經，證法唯識無心外境，由妄習力似外境現，實但內心，故引之也。上來已廣破外執，解初頌上三句訖，自下第二、釋外妨難，重淨三句。

The Commentary states: The verse from the sūtra is a verse from the Ghanavyūha-sūtra, which is a Mahāyāna sūtra proving that phenomena are vijñapti-mātra and that there are no objects external to the mind; due to the force of false habituation (vāsanā), they manifest as semblances of external objects, but in reality are only the internal mind; hence it is cited. Up to here, the external attachments have been extensively refuted, concluding the explanation of the first three lines of the first verse. From here on is the second section, resolving external objections and reaffirming the clarity of the three lines.
