破前外道，勝論為首，餘亦從之。今小乘等自辨真事，准前立三法，故今破也。

In refuting the previous non-Buddhists, the Vaiśeṣikas were foremost, and the rest followed them. Now the Hīnayāna and others distinguish real entities on their own, establishing three dharmas following the preceding model; hence they are refuted now.
