述曰：無漏種子無始不起，經論誠說有法爾種故，有漏種無始曾起故，無分明別說之教。設無如上通證有漏之經論者，義准亦應有法爾種。上雖引經，此有何理？

The Commentary states: Because uncontaminated seeds have never arisen from beginningless time, the sūtras and treatises explicitly state that there are innate seeds; but because contaminated seeds have arisen from beginningless time, there is no explicit separate teaching on them. Even if there were no sūtras and treatises providing common proof for contaminated seeds as above, by logical implication they should also possess innate seeds. Above, sūtras were cited; what reasoning is there for this?
