述曰：又《攝論》說，聞熏地前既是有漏，為出世法之種子性，故知無有法爾無漏種，唯以有漏為見道因故。第四大段，解眾文違。若唯新熏，如何五種種姓差別？

The Commentary states: Furthermore, the Mahāyānasaṃgraha states that the perfuming of hearing before the stages, being contaminated, serves as the seed-nature for supramundane dharmas; thus we know there are no innate uncontaminated seeds, and only contaminated [perfuming] serves as the cause for the path of seeing. The fourth major section reconciles contradictions among various texts. If seeds are exclusively newly perfumed, how can there be the distinction of the five spiritual lineages?
