2.946

述曰：種解脫分善根已去，聞正法時，由現行有漏及自因緣所熏有漏種，為增上緣，令其本有無漏種子亦得增長，展轉增勝。即以所增無漏勝種，後時正生出世之心。亦說無漏所增長種，名聞熏習。《對法》第四云：決擇分善根亦是有漏，亦名無漏，據各別故。

The Commentary states: From planting the wholesome roots that aid liberation onward, when one hears the correct Dharma, active sāsrava dharmas and the sāsrava seeds perfumed by their own causes and conditions serve as predominant conditions, causing fundamentally existing anāsrava seeds also to increase and progressively become superior. With these increased superior anāsrava seeds, at a later time they directly produce the supramundane mind. The seeds increased by anāsrava are also called the perfuming of hearing. Fascicle 4 of the Abhidharmasamuccaya states: 'The wholesome roots that aid penetration are also sāsrava and also called anāsrava,' in terms of their distinct aspects.
