述曰：種子望種，大乘為同類因，亦如於彼現望於現，非現望現為因緣攝，同類因也，以疎遠故，非親近故。此等諸文，《攝論》皆有。

The Commentary states: Seeds viewed in relation to seeds are similar-type causes (sabhāga-hetu) in the Mahāyāna, just like actual manifestations viewed in relation to actual manifestations over there; it is not that actual manifestations viewed in relation to actual manifestations are subsumed under causal conditions, but are similar-type causes, because they are distant and indirect, not immediate and proximate. All these passages are found in the Mahāyānasaṃgraha.
