述曰：一如於心，今此正義，不同安惠及小乘中正量部等無所緣相，得名為緣；不同薩婆多等許有行相，但取心外所緣，無心心所自能緣故。

The Commentary states: They are exactly like citta. This present correct doctrine differs from Sthiramati and the Saṃmatīyas and others among the Hīnayāna schools, who hold that without an objective mark, it can be called cognizing; it also differs from the Sarvāstivādins and others, who admit that there is an ākāra, but only grasp an object outside citta, having no intrinsic capacity of citta and caitasikas to cognize.
