3.24

述曰：遮七轉識及色等法，不得為種子。此但言心，實亦遮色。經部六識等能持種子，亦此中破，以三受轉變，緣境易脫故。

The Commentary states: This excludes the seven evolving consciousnesses as well as form and other phenomena; they cannot serve as seeds. Here it mentions only citta, but in fact it also excludes form. The Sautrāntika view that the six consciousnesses and so forth can hold seeds is also refuted here, because the three feelings shift and transform, and their grasping of intentional objects is prone to distraction and interruption.
