述曰：護法菩薩假為別義，難破月藏，無別師說。諸佛菩薩若化變為，我所不諱；若實變為，即違理教，雜穢種子久已亡故，螺髻梵王等亦是此類。舉佛菩薩且論勝者。

The Commentary states: Bodhisattva Dharmapāla provisionally constructs another position to refute Candragarbha; there is no separate master who spoke it. If buddhas and bodhisattvas transform it by supernormal manifestation, I do not deny it; but if they were to transform it in reality, it would contradict both reason and teaching, because seeds of impurity and defilement have long since perished; the Topknot-braid Brahmā King and others are also of this category. Mentioning buddhas and bodhisattvas is merely to discuss the superior ones.
