述曰：此第三因。又此觸數定是實有，緣起支中心所攝故，如愛緣取，思分位故，彼亦許實，諸心所支皆是實有。若就他宗，十二支中設但少實，即得為喻，彼全不許觸少分實。許少分實，餘假不成，無異因故。

The Commentary states: This is the third reason. Furthermore, this mental factor of contact is definitely real, because it is subsumed under the mental factors among the links of dependent origination (pratītyasamutpāda), like craving conditioning grasping (upādāna); because it is a state of volition, they also accept it as real; all mental factor links are real. From the perspective of the other school, even if only a few among the twelve links were real, they could serve as an example; but they do not accept contact as being real in any part at all. If they accepted any part as real, the rest could not be established as nominal, because there would be no different reason.
