述曰：無實用故，不能生現識、根、境等。等者，等取諸根、境等。此如何等？
The Commentary states: Because they lack real functional efficacy, they cannot produce the samudācāra consciousness, sense faculties, cognitive objects, and so forth. 'And so forth' includes the faculties, objects, and so forth. How are they comparable?
