述曰：此令同大乘，滅是過去故。彼若救言，誰言於滅，滅即是無，同薩婆多滅體是有。今難之云：

The Commentary states: This makes them agree with the Mahāyāna, because cessation is past. If they defend [their view] by saying: "Who says that as for cessation, cessation is non-existence? In agreement with the Sarvāstivādins, the entity of cessation is existent." Now we challenge them, saying:
