3.723

述曰：下文有六，一、正釋；二、破；三、救、四、徵；五、會；六、難申正義。初中有二，初出不退體；後辨捨。由五因故，證入地菩薩亦捨此識名，此第一因，即難陀論師等作如是解。文中易解，無勞解釋。

The Commentary states: The following text has six parts: 1. the correct explanation; 2. the refutation; 3. the rescue; 4. the critique; 5. the reconciliation; 6. the objection presenting the correct doctrine. In the first part there are two: first, setting forth the essence of non-retrogression; second, analyzing abandonment. Due to five causes, bodhisattvas who have realized and entered the stages also abandon the name of this consciousness; this is the first cause, as explained by masters such as Nanda. The text is easy to understand, so there is no need for elaboration.
