述曰：即第五因，名為不退。此如《攝論》十地菩薩觀為利益，不動染心而方起惑，非不知而起，即《瑜伽論》七十七、八云：要知方起，非不知而起。

The Commentary states: This is the fifth cause, by which they are named non-retrogressing. This is like what the Mahāyānasaṃgraha says, that bodhisattvas of the ten stages, contemplating for the sake of benefit, generate defilements without their defiled minds moving; they do not arise without awareness. That is, fascicles 77 and 78 of the Yogācārabhūmi state: only upon knowing do they arise, not that they arise without awareness.
