述曰：下結正義。且如初釋，直往菩薩八地已去，非是此中阿羅漢攝，有種染故，三乘無學方名為捨。第二師釋直往菩薩八地已去，是此中攝，故總說言阿羅漢捨，斷種永伏現行煩惱，皆已盡故，並名為捨。

The Commentary states: Below concludes with the correct doctrine. For instance, according to the first interpretation, direct-progressing bodhisattvas from the eighth bhūmi onward are not included among the arhats here, because they possess the defilement of seeds; only the non-learners of the three vehicles are called 'relinquishing' [it]. According to the second master's interpretation, direct-progressing bodhisattvas from the eighth bhūmi onward are included here; therefore it is stated collectively that arhats relinquish it, because both the cutting off of seeds and the permanent suppression of active defilements have already been exhausted—both are called 'relinquishing'.
