述曰：以大乘人不入寂滅故，如〈決擇分．有餘依地〉。問：佛及聲聞無餘何別？彼言不別者，彼答苦依盡、真如為論，非謂入寂為同答也。阿賴耶識上已說捨，不須重說。

The Commentary states: Because persons of the Mahāyāna do not enter quiescent extinction, as stated in the "Viniścayasamgrahaṇī on the Bhūmi with Remainder." Question: What is the difference between the remainderless [nirvāṇa] of a Buddha and that of a śrāvaka? Where that [text] states there is no difference, its answer discusses the exhaustion of the basis of suffering and tathatā; it is not answering that entering quiescence is the same. The relinquishment of the ālayavijñāna has already been explained above and need not be restated.
